T20 World Cup: Sri Lanka Announced The Team For The T20 World Cup!

Sri Lanka Cricket has announced the 15 members squad for T20 World Cup 2022 on Friday (16 September). T20 World Cup will be played in Australia this year in the month of October and November. The Sri Lanka cricket team did a great job in the recently held Asia Cup 2022. Sri Lanka team led by Dasun Shanaka defeated Pakistan in the final to win the Asia Cup 2022 title. 

All the teams participating in T20 World Cup are announcing their teams and Sri Lanka Cricket Board has also announced their team. Players Dasun Shanaka (c), Danushka Gunathilaka, Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Charith Asalanka, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Dhananjaya de Silva, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Jeffrey Vandersay, Chamika Karunaratne, Dushmantha Chameera, Lahiru Kumara, Dilshan Madushanka, Pramod Madushan have been in Sri Lanka's squad. Apart from 15 members cricket team, the Sri Lanka Board has also selected 5 players as Standby for T20 World Cup.

Team's experienced batsman Dinesh Chandimal didn't find a place in the 15 members team. Dinesh Chandimal has been placed in the list of standby players along with Ashen Bandara, Praveen Jayawickrema, Dinesh Chandimal, Binura Fernando, Nuwanidu Fernando.
